Idukki Arch Dam over Periyar River in Kerala
Idukki Arch Dam in Kerala is Asia’s tallest arch dam and has a height of 168 metres (550 feet). It stands between two granite hills called Kuravanmala (839 metres) and Kurathimala (925 metres). Incidentally a tribal chief named Kolumban had escorted a British explorer to site of Idukki Dam.

This river runs through the centre of Florence. The day was sunny and bright when we visited. There were colourful buildings to be seen alongside the river. Florence is a picturesque city. It was a nice day to explore.

Sree Ayyappa Temple in Vasai
Sree Ayyappa Temple is built in the style of Kerala temple architecture. The roof is covered with red clay tiles. There is a tall kodimaram (flagstaff) in front of the temple. On festival days, the outside walls of the temple are lit up using many small oil lamps. The temple was consecrated in 1995.

Clock in Museum d’Orsay
It is a beautiful clock. It has a solid look with intricate designs around it. It is placed in a large open area, at one end of a sculpture gallery. The area is full of natural light.
